Bahrain FinTech Bay Announces Appointment of Independent Director of the Executive Board
Manama, 4 May 2018: Bahrain FinTech Bay (“BFB”), the largest fintech hub in the Middle East & Africa, is pleased to announce Dr. Saeeda Jaffar as an independent director of the Executive Board.
Dr. Saeeda Jaffar is currently Managing Director of Alvarez & Marsal in the Middle East and focuses on innovation and technology strategies for financial institutions. She previously worked at Bain & Co. in Dubai and McKinsey in New York. Dr. Saeeda Jaffar holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachussets Institute of Technology (MIT).
Commenting on her appointment, Dr. Saeeda Jaffar said: “I am very pleased to have been appointed to the board of the Bahrain FinTech Bay. Saeeda Jaffar has been invited to join the Bahrain FinTech Team as an independent director of the Executive Board. Together with the Board Members and Team at BFB, she will work towards accelerating Bahrain FinTech Bay’s position.
