Deputy King tours Bahrain FinTech Bay

Manama: Deputy King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday toured Bahrain FinTech Bay (BFB) at Arcapita Building.

He was briefed on initiatives, which include incubators to support smart financial technology, acceleration and educational programmes and collaborative platforms, as well as the BFB’s role in promoting Bahrain’s standing as a leading FinTech centre.

The Deputy King highlighted the fundamental role that innovation and modern technologies play in delivering sustainable and long-term economic growth.

He said that expansion of the kingdom’s fintech sector is developing Bahrain’s knowledge base and generating new growth opportunities for entrepreneurs. He affirmed that Bahrain’s financial institutions are supported by a robust regulatory and strategic framework designed to enhance development opportunities for citizens.

Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and EDB officials were present.
